I expected that when hit with the light these would harden so they can be used to extend the length of the nail. They do not. They get somewhat harder but not enough to act as a nail extension.
They also came off after about 5 days. I have a desk job so I'm not very hard on them but just washing my hair peeled them off.
I loved the colors in this set but unfortunately the chrome finish highlighted all the flaws in my nails.
Chrome/metallic finishes are pretty hard to work with, but if you've gotten the technique down, this is a super fun set to play with! Can be worn on its own or you can even incorporate your creativity into it. I added some heart decals to it to go all out on the Valentine's theme and I do love how the finished product looks!
As usual, this set as all D&T sets was very pliable and sizing was just right for my nail beds. Ensure that you prep your nail beds appropriately, the chrome finish is very unforgiving so a bit buffing would be an excellent prep step, exact measure at first is crucial for a smooth application. If you love chrome finish with an ombré look but don’t want all the hassle and work that comes with doing an ombré and the extra steps that come with a chrome finish than “Awakening Nature” is the set for you!! You can wear it as is or is the perfect mani set to embellish just for Valentine’s Day. This set also reminds me of Cherry Blossoms 🌸 so if you celebrate this event, it will be a nice reminder that spring is coming.
As expected, these chrome finishes do show every flaw, and even create their own lol. I decided to lightly buff my nails with a super fine file, then used a rubberized basecoat to help smooth everything out. Overall, I think they turned out ok. I didn't buff my left hand because my nails looked smooth...and somehow there are flaws lol. The right hand looks much better. I added decals, a heart confetti overlay, glossy topcoat, and matte topcoat. My favorite nails are the matte ones because it's so soft looking... the color on these is really lovely!
